Do Not Curse

Romans 12:14 (NKJV) Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Some people think that curses are only pronounced on people in movies by witches, but they don't realize they have the ability to curse someone too. The word ‘curse’ means to wish evil against a person or thing. It takes practice not to wish evil against someone who has persecuted you, but we are commanded in the word to do that. When we are thinking or speaking evil against someone, we are severely compromising our love walk. We are told in the word to always walk in love. If someone has done something mean to you, it is important that you forgive them quickly. Being offended is not an option for a Christian. When we are offended, we easily wish or speak evil against the other person without even realizing it. When we learn to forgive quickly and stay walking in love, our lives will be so much freer. Offense is a heavy burden to bear and will cause you to curse others.
